eFoil Instructor & Operations Lead
(Seasonal / Part-Time)
About the Role
Join Toronto eFoil Academy and help people experience the thrill of flying above water. This is more than just an instructor role — it’s an opportunity to play a key part in growing a premium, customer-first eFoil experience in Toronto.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, brings energy to every session, and is excited to help build TEFA as if it were their own business.
Compensation
$18–$22/hour, based on experience
Performance-based bonuses
Access to eFoil equipment for personal use and skill development
Role Structure
Seasonal, part-time (spring–fall)
Flexible schedule (including evenings and weekends)
Up to 15 hours/week of non-instructional time, including:
Scheduling lessons
Managing bookings and communications
Updating website and social media content
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Customer Experience
Deliver safe, high-quality eFoil lessons to riders of all skill levels
Create a fun, supportive, and confidence-building learning environment
Demonstrate riding techniques and help students progress efficiently
Monitor riders closely and prioritize safety at all times
Learn and use participant names to create a personalized experience
Capture photos/videos of sessions for customer memories and marketing
Operations & Equipment
Set up, transport, and pack down eFoil equipment
Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Keep accurate records of lessons, riders, and equipment usage
Maintain clean, organized gear and workspace
Business & Growth Support
Coordinate lesson scheduling and respond to customer inquiries
Assist with website updates and social media content
Contribute ideas to improve customer experience and operations
Represent the brand professionally and help grow TEFA’s reputation
Requirements
18+ years old
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Strong swimming ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to safety and detail
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to ~75 lbs)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Passion for water sports, teaching, and customer experience
Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum 10 hours of eFoil riding experience, or willingness to complete training
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching water sports, board sports, or outdoor activities
Experience operating boats or personal watercraft
Lifeguard certification or water rescue training
Experience in customer service, hospitality, or coaching
Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content (photo/video, posts, reels, etc.)
